Turn-off PC speaker in Ubuntu

Well, this might work for distros supporting blacklisting of modules (all?). Here’s what I did to shut that so-80’s-horrible sound “BEEP”:

sudo -c echo “blacklist pcspkr” >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

sudo reboot
